The letter was mailed from Acme Fast Freight in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Seattle, Washington on March 17, 1943. The cover has the advertising corner card of Acme Fast Freight and a patriotic cachet that shows a worker, Uncle Sam's hat, and says "DEFEND AMERICAN FREEDOM IT'S EVERYBODY'S JOB". There is also a "Fee Claimed By Office of First Address" handstamp on front and a Seattle receiving backstamp date March 19th on the reverse. Some creasing in middle not affecting stamps (see scans).
